Pinot Noir
Wine
Sidewood Pinot Noir is sourced from the estate Mappinga Road Vineyard at Oakbank, 380 metres above sea level in the cool climate Adelaide Hills.
The wine is made from a blend of the Oberlin, 777, MV6 and Abel clones.
Hand harvested, the fruit is chilled in the cool room for 24 hours. Vinified separately by clonal variety, the fruit is wild fermented with whole berries and some whole bunch inclusion.
The wine matures in French oak for 10 months. Only the best barrels are selected.
Dark crimson, Sidewood Pinot Noir has red fruit flavours, ample tannins and a generous finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
